The True Pursuit, Masculine Journey Weekend is a four-day weekend with live teaching from the True Pursuit team. Our teaching is inspired by authors like John Eldredge, Chris Bruno, Henri Nouwen, Richard Rohr, and others.
The numbers are trending in the wrong direction. Upwards of 40 million children live in a home without the physical presence of a father. Millions more have dads who are physically present, but emotionally absent. If it were classified as a disease, fatherlessness would be an epidemic worthy of being labeled a national emergency.
Unfortunately, the world doesn’t have much to offer the fatherless population. With the lack of fathers, or father figures in so many men’s lives, how do we embark on our journey of initiation into manhood? How will we know how to navigate the dangers along the way? The good news is that there is a path to masculinity for each of us, and best of all, we have a loving Father who is ready to help us follow it.
God is our Father, and he wants to show us what masculinity really looks like. There is an ancient path leading to authentic manhood, cut by generation after generation of men. There are perils along the trail, even disasters–all the more reason to rely on the guidance of our True Father who has gone before us.
A boy has a lot to learn in his journey to becoming a man, and it takes the active intervention of fathers or father figures and the fellowship of other men to guide us along the way. In all of life’s trials and triumphs, God is initiating his Beloved Son’s through the stages of manhood.
Through personal stories and practical guidance, we will offer a map through the stages of a man’s journey; not more rules, not another list of principles, not formulas, but a well-worn path that men have followed for centuries before us. Discover the truth about masculinity and become the man God has always intended for you to be.
Who is it for?
The True Pursuit Masculine Journey Weekend is for any man who desires to deepen their relationship with their True Father. While a prior exposer to the Wild at Heart message would be helpful, it is not necessary. The weekend is tailored for men who have a longing to slow down and unplug from the hurriedness of their everyday lives and hear from God in new and refreshing ways.
What Should I Bring?
True Pursuit provides you with earplugs (you’re welcome). Michindoh Conference Center provides bedding and towels. Beyond that, we recommend that you bring whatever helps you to personally connect with God, such as a Bible and your personal journal. Michigan fall weather can be unpredictable, look at the forecast for the weekend and bring whatever you will be comfortable wearing.

• Registration starts at 4:00 pm on October 2nd, followed by dinner at 6:00 pm.
• The weekend concludes at noon on October 5th.

Disc-golf • Indoor gym • Canoeing • Fishing • Corn hole • Bring your bike • or just relaxing with a good book or having a conversation with a friend.
Cost
The cost is $400, space will be limited, so register early.
Registration includes all meals and activities for the weekend.
