A LIFE-SAVING EXPERIENCE
Over two years ago I would have described my life as characterized by isolation, dominated by the grip of addiction and as being largely disconnected in my relationships with my wife and kids. Frankly, at the time, I would have said that I did not have a single truly transparent and honest relationship in my life. I was asked to attend the True Pursuit Weekend where I experienced a remarkable movement of God’s Spirit in my heart. In message after message, at my first weekend, it felt like Abba was determined to begin the process of shedding my layers of posing, fierce control, fear, and anger. One thing I absolutely loved about the weekend was doing business directly with the Lord (or more accurately He is doing business with me) in the beautiful setting of Camp LaDore. For me, the True Pursuit Weekend was literally a life-saving experience which proved to launch a journey increasingly characterized by hope, peace, freedom and a hunger to walk with God. Having experienced such a powerful movement of my own heart toward restoration in this setting I have no hesitation recommending the True Pursuit weekend to other men who might, like myself, have come from their own experience of brokenness.
