What is the True Pursuit Boot Camp?

The True Pursuit Weekend is patterned after our good friends at Ransomed Heart and their Wild at Heart Boot Camps that they offer in CO. Many men have said that this weekend is one of the most powerful and life changing events they have ever attended. The weekend is structured in a way to help men enter into the spiritual battle to recover their masculine heart and help them live a life of adventure through a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Men take part in multimedia and interactive sessions centered on the Bible and the biblically based concepts from the book “Wild at Heart” by best selling author John Eldredge.

Why should I go to the True Pursuit Weekend?

When most men boil their lives down it looks something like this…get a good education, a good job, a good marriage, a good family, a good church and then try really hard not to blow it. Most of us have at one time or another heard that voice deep within us whispering that there is something more, much more. But how do we find it? Is it for everyone, or just a select few? God’s word tells us that He desires freedom and restoration for our lives. Why then does it seem so hard to get our lives untangled enough to experience that freedom? If you are like most men, there is another,much louder voice, saying it is all your fault, you’ll never figure it out and that you might as well just quit trying. But that isn’t true and somewhere down deep you know it.

It is our desire that this weekend will help men discover the things that keep them from the freedom and restoration that God offers through his son Jesus Christ. To release them from shame, guilt, addiction and isolation. To help them find their true identity and to teach them how to live from their true heart that has been pushed into hiding for so long.

True Pursuit Weekend Details

The TP Weekend starts with registration at 4:30pm on Thursday April 14th, 2011 and ends at noon on Sunday April 17th.

Register by March 31st and pay only $285 (reg $315)

The setting for the weekend is at Young Life’s beautiful Timber Wolf Lake camp in upper Central Michigan. Timber Wolf Lake is a Young Life national camping property located at 4909 North Morey Road, Lake City, MI 49651 (231- 839-7552). Some of the activities that will be available to you are…skeet shooting, climbing wall, game room, exploring the camps 800+ acres, riding your mountain bike on miles of paved and unpaved roads and trails, or just sitting in front of the fire place reading a good book or having a conversation with a friend.
